I’m creating this blog to document the beginning of a food journey – the banishment of my veganism and exploration of all things filled with dairy, eggs and walnuts.
Veganism wasn’t for me. I had already sampled the pleasures of cozonac, white chocolate and pavlova. They were too hard to resist. Sure, I tried veganized versions of cozonac and white chocolate, but they were never as good.
I like good food and when ever I’d make something vegan, it’d taste ‘okay’. Most of the time the food would get thrown out or given to the chickens. Not to mention the time I cooked with nutritional yeast!
But that isn’t to say all vegan food is bad. Vegan cooking is a challenge and when done right, it can taste amazing. I just never got it right.
I don’t think I’ll be able to put cow’s milk in my coffee just yet or eat a boiled egg for breakfast, but over time that might change. It might not.
